Vineyard aperitif at Lo Stagnone

Sunset with Egadi Islands view

What do we offer ?

The concept is very simple :

Between the rows of a vineyard, with chains of lights suspended among the vines, you can enjoy one of the most beautiful sunsets in the Stagnone di Marsala. You can enjoy our bruschette, our Sicilian charcuterie and cheese plates, all sided by a wide selection of local wines including our Peola wine.

Lo Stagnone di Marsala

Clear waters, unspoilt nature, strips of land rich in history and archaeological remains characterise the Isole dello Stagnone Oriented Nature Reserve, one of the first to be established in Sicily in 1984. The Stagnone Lagoon is a stretch of water bounded from the open sea by the Isola Grande, with three small islands within it: Mozia, Santa Maria and Schola.

Halophytic plants such as suaeda maritima, salicornia, salsola soda, limonium, inula and limoniastrum can be found along the borders of salinas.

As early as July, the Stagnone welcomes autumn migrants such as curlews and glossy ibis; as the cold weather arrives, ducks arrive, while the marsh harrier waits in ambush. Among the species present are pochards, teals, coots, mallards, pintails and garganeys, while majestic herons forage among the salinas pools.

The spot of Peola at Lo Stagnone

Your experience with us …

It was born from an idea of Salvatore after travelling across the country. He decided to return to his hometown and upgrade his family’s land with a simple and successful idea that brought us a lot of people in a very short time.

In the kitchen, Mamma Angela, full of passion for Sicilian cuisine, will delight you with her bruschette made with local artisanal products and her homemade cakes for dessert every day. In the dining room, you will find our young and well-prepared international team who will help you choose the wine to drink in a chill setting surrounded by nature.

Wine

‘Peola’ wine is the definition of our lands

It was born from the desire to keep alive a family tradition, started by the grandfather in 19xx, and then handed down from father to son to grandson.

In 2023, to follow the footsteps of the past, we wanted to enhance our territory once again by creating an original and authentic new product.

‘Peola’ is the fruit of commitment, sacrifice and connections with the past. A tradition shared with passion and simplicity. It is the result of a grape harvest shared with you and characterized by a magical and special atmosphere.
